Implementasi Nilai-Nilai Karakter Berbasis Al-Qur'an di PAUD Al-Islah Kota Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of character values based on the Qur'an at Al-Islah Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Gorontalo City as an effective model for character education. Employing a qualitative approach, the research collects data through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, in order to understand the process of internalising character values within the institution. Data analysis is conducted using an interactive model, which allows for a comprehensive portrayal of the dynamics involved in character education implementation.The findings indicate that the success of character implementation at PAUD Al-Islah heavily relies on three main pillars: adherence to the national Character Education (PPK) curriculum, the Qur'anic moral vision as a theological foundation, and the innovative Wafa method as a pedagogical tool. The synergy of these three pillars, coupled with strong organisational support and parental involvement, ensures the sustainability and effectiveness of the character education model at PAUD Al-Islah. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of theories in Islamic Early Childhood Education and the design of an integrated curriculum based on belief, while also serving as an empirical reference for other PAUD institutions in Eastern Indonesia.
