Pengalaman Beragama dan Sikap Religius Mahasantri Darus-Sunnah International Institute for Hadith Sciences

Abstract
The religious experience of mahasantri (Islamic boarding school university students) is rooted in values found in religion, both moral and spiritual, which can lead to changes in attitude among students who pursue higher education while studying at a pesantren. The religious experiences of mahasantri at the Darus-Sunnah International Institute for Hadith Sciences are particularly interesting to study in relation to the religious attitudes embodied by each student. This research aims to describe the religious experiences of mahasantri at the Darus-Sunnah International Institute for Hadith Sciences and how these experiences influence their religious attitudes. The research uses a qualitative method with data analyzed from questionnaires filled out by 30 mahasantri. The findings indicate that the religious experiences of mahasantri at Darus-Sunnah vary, including mystical experiences, divine encounters, and sensory perceptions. These experiences significantly affect their religious attitudes. Religious experiences play an important role in shaping religious attitudes, moral development, and spiritual awareness among mahasantri. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to create environments that support and encourage reflection on these experiences as part of developing a holistic religious character
