Abstract
This study examines the construction of life meaning among the congregation of the Orthodox Church of Dionysius Zakhynthos in Yogyakarta within the context of their religious practices and existential experiences. The study is grounded in the human quest for life meaning, particularly through religious experience amid a modern world marked by uncertainty and secularization. The research aims to understand how the congregation constructs life meaning through liturgy, prayer, sacraments, and communal interactions, as well as how Viktor Frankl's logotherapy is reflected in their existential experiences. The study employs a qualitative approach, including participatory observation and in-depth interviews, combined with phenomenological analysis of spiritual practices and personal narratives. Findings indicate that life meaning for Orthodox congregants is shaped through holistic engagement in the Divine Liturgy, the Jesus Prayer, the Eucharist, and supportive communal relationships. Freedom of will, the will to meaning, and personal spiritual experiences are central to this process. The study concludes that the Orthodox Church provides a spiritual space where individuals can discover existential meaning, inner peace, and authentic relationship with God, offering valuable insights for the fields of spirituality and existential psychology. The abstract must be written in one paragraph.
