Integrasi Nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dalam Patient-Centered Care: Tinjauan Literatur QS Al-Mā’idah Ayat 32 dalam Konteks Manajemen Rumah Sakit
Main Article Content
Abstract
Modern hospital management demands services that are not only efficient and technology-based but also patient-centered through the Patient Centered Care (PCC) approach. The principles of PCC align with Islamic values, particularly QS Al-Mā’idah verse 32, which emphasizes the importance of preserving life as both a moral and spiritual mandate. This study aims to review the literature on the implementation of PCC in hospital management and analyze its relevance to QS Al-Mā’idah 32. The method employed is a literature review by examining articles from journals, proceedings, books, online sources, and other relevant references related to PCC and Islamic healthcare. The findings reveal that the verse can be integrated into four key dimensions of PCC: (1) effective communication strategies emphasizing honesty, empathy, and respect; (2) respect for patients’ values and preferences as part of safeguarding dignity; (3) family involvement in medical decision-making as a collective responsibility; and (4) fulfillment of patients’ spiritual needs as an integral aspect of holistic care. Integrating Qur’anic values into PCC has the potential to enhance service quality, increase patient satisfaction, and build a healthcare system that is ethical and meaningful. This study recommends developing evaluation instruments, conducting comparative studies, and designing spiritual-based training interventions to support PCC implementation in hospitals.
