Prinsip Keadilan dalam Ekonomi Muamalah sebagai Fondasi Kesejahteraan Sosial

Abstract
Economic inequality and the growth of the Islamic financial industry have not automatically resulted in greater social justice, making justice in muamalah an important foundation for social welfare. This study aims to analyze the principles of justice in muamalah, their application in economic practices, and their contribution to social welfare within the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah framework. The study uses conceptual-normative library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach and qualitative content analysis of Islamic normative sources, scholarly articles, academic books, and official publications. The findings show that justice in muamalah can be operationalized through tarāḍin, trustworthiness, honesty, transparency or bayān, clarity of contracts, and a balance of rights and obligations. These principles work by preventing ẓulm, strengthening trust, expanding economic access, and redistributing benefits to support social welfare. Within the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah framework, this mechanism particularly supports the protection of wealth, life, and intellect. The study offers a conceptual mapping of principles–indicators–mechanisms–outcomes that can support stronger contracts, consumer protection, muamalah literacy, and Islamic philanthropy.
