Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly changed the way people access information, including religious knowledge. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of using AI as a source of religious consultation and its implications for the shifting of religious authority within the framework of science and religion harmony. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that AI is increasingly used as an alternative source for religious consultation due to its accessibility, speed, and user convenience. Furthermore, there is a tendency for a shift in religious authority from traditional sources to algorithm-based digital systems. From the perspective of science and religion harmony, AI is positioned as an instrumental product of scientific development that cannot replace religious authority but serves as a supportive tool in obtaining information. This study emphasizes the importance of religious digital literacy to ensure that the use of AI remains aligned with ethical and religious values.
