Rekonstruksi Tugas dan Fungsi Pendidikan Islam dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan di Era Globalisasi
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aims to examine the reconstruction of the duties and functions of Islamic education from the perspective of educational philosophy in the era of globalization. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research methods. Data were collected from scientific journals, academic articles, and relevant books published between 2021 and 2026. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis through systematic data reduction, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Islamic education functions not only as a medium for transferring knowledge but also as a means of character building, spiritual development, and social awareness formation. From the perspective of educational philosophy, Islamic education aims to develop balanced individuals in intellectual, moral, and spiritual dimensions. However, globalization presents challenges such as the dichotomy of knowledge, moral degradation, individualism, and the dominance of digital technology influencing modern educational orientations. Therefore, the reconstruction of Islamic education should focus on integrating religious and general sciences, strengthening character education, improving digital literacy, and developing contextual, critical, and humanistic learning approaches. Consequently, Islamic education is expected to produce generations capable of adapting to global developments without losing their Islamic identity.
