Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam di Era Post-Truth: Tantangan dan Peluang dalam Menyampaikan Pesan Dakwah

Abstract
The post-truth phenomenon has transformed global communication patterns by placing emotional opinions above objective truth. This condition poses significant challenges for Islamic broadcasting communication, as da’wah messages based on the Qur’an and Hadith are often overshadowed by sensational narratives and hoaxes that spread rapidly in digital spaces. This study aims to identify both the challenges and opportunities of Islamic broadcasting communication in the post-truth era, while offering relevant adaptive strategies. Employing a library research method, data were collected from academic literature, scholarly journals, books, digital articles, and research reports, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that the main challenges include confirmation bias, algorithmic polarization in social media, the degradation of religious authority, low levels of media literacy, and the prevalence of digital disinformation. However, the post-truth era also presents new opportunities for Islamic da’wah through broader, interactive, and creative digital media. Adaptive strategies such as using simple yet substantial language, employing visual technology, ensuring rapid responses to current issues, and strengthening media literacy are proposed as effective solutions. The study concludes that post-truth should not be viewed merely as a threat but also as a strategic opportunity to strengthen Islamic da’wah, provided that Islamic broadcasting communication transforms into a more contextual, literate, and innovative approach in addressing contemporary challenges.
