Islam Itu Mudah: Konsep Kemudahan dalam Hadis sebagai Fondasi Moderasi Beragama

Abstract
The rise of intolerance and religious conflict in Indonesia is frequently rooted in rigid, burdensome, and extreme (ghuluw) religious interpretations. The misconception that piety must be manifested through an uncompromising stance has created social distance and fueled radicalism. This study aims to analyze the essence of ease (al-yusr) in the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW specifically the hadith "Inna al-dina yusrun" as a theological foundation for strengthening religious moderation (wasathiyah). Employing a qualitative method with a library research approach and thematic hadith analysis (maudhu’i), this study reveals that ease is not merely a legal dispensation (rukhsah), but an ontological character of Islam embedded in all dimensions of its teachings. The results indicate that the principle of ease serves as a protective mechanism for the spiritual sustainability of the community and a deconstructive instrument against the narratives of extremist groups who are often "defeated" by their own rigidity. The implementation of this al-yusr paradigm is an urgent solution for weaving harmony within Indonesia's pluralistic society while restoring an inclusive, friendly, and joyful face of Islam.
