Peran An-Nabr sebagai Fonem Suprasegmental dalam Ilmu Al-Ashwat (Sintesis antara Pendekatan Tradisional dan Modern)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aims to examine the role of an-nabr as a suprasegmental phoneme in the science of Al-Ashwat (a synthesis of traditional and modern approaches). Previous published articles have only discussed stress as a suprasegmental phoneme and have not yet addressed the convergence or synthesis between traditional and modern approaches. The type of this research is qualitative, employing a descriptive-analytical methodology. Research data was obtained through a literature review. The data collection technique employed was documentation. This study also utilised a comparative approach to compare the concept of an-nabr in the classical Arabic linguistic tradition with suprasegmental theory in modern linguistics. The findings indicate that the role of an-nabr in the science of Al-Ashwat is that of a crucial, essential, and vital suprasegmental phoneme. The synthesis between the traditional (Tajwid) and modern (descriptive linguistics) approaches establishes an-nabr as a valid and reliable tool for understanding how vocal stress influences meaning, both in the recitation of the Qur’an using the guidelines of Tajwid and in conversations in Classical/Modern Arabic, particularly regarding the accurate mastery of speech and listening.
