Abstract
This study examines the concept of riding animals in the Qur'an through a scientific interpretation approach by integrating a biological perspective. This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the kauniyah verses which not only explain the practical functions of animals, but also contain moral and ethical values. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of riding animals in QS. An-Nahl [16]: 8, QS. Al-Mudatsir [74]: 50, and QS. Luqman [31]: 19 and to relate them to biological concepts such as domestication, ethology, and bioacoustics. The method used is a qualitative research based on literature study with a thematic interpretation approach and interdisciplinary analysis between the interpretation of the Qur'an and biological sciences. The results of the study show that horses, donkeys, and mules have morphological, physiological, and behavioral characteristics that support their function as a means of transportation, as well as being a symbol in conveying moral messages. The behavior of wild donkeys and their vocal characteristics are scientifically aligned with the metaphorical meaning in the Qur'an. This research has implications for strengthening the integration of religious knowledge and science, and contributes to the development of more contextual and comprehensive scientific interpretation studies.
