Pembelajaran, Penerapan, dan Tantangan Nilai-Nilai Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah An-Nahdliyyah di Madrasah Aliyah Asshiddiqiyah Karawang

Abstract
This study aims to describe the learning process, implementation, and challenges of integrating Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah An-Nahdliyyah (Aswaja) values in Islamic Religious Education at Madrasah Aliyah Asshiddiqiyah Karawang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving Islamic Religious Education teachers, the school principal, and students. The findings indicate that the values of tawassuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), i’tidal (justice and consistency), and tasamuh (tolerance) are substantively integrated into the teaching of Fiqh, Qur’an and Hadith, Aqidah Akhlak, and Islamic Cultural History through classical Islamic texts, dialogical learning methods, and pesantren-based daily practices. The implementation of Aswaja values is also reflected in school life through religious activities, student organizations, and social interactions among students. Despite challenges such as diverse student backgrounds, intensive pesantren activities, and exposure to narrow religious perspectives from outside the pesantren environment, institutional support and strong synergy between the school and the pesantren help sustain the internalization of Aswaja values. This study concludes that Aswaja-based education plays a significant role in fostering students’ moderate, tolerant, and morally grounded religious character.
