Makna di Balik Huruf-Huruf Pembuka: Kajian Tematik tentang Fawātiḥ as-Suwar dalam Al-Qur’an

Abstract
Fawatih as-Suwar, or the muqatta’ah latters that appear at the beginning of several surahs in the Qur’an, have been the focus of study in various disciplines, including exegesis, linguistics, and education. This article aims to explore the thematic meaning of Fawatih as-Suwar using a contemporary exegetial approach and semantic analaysis. Based on a literature review from various sources, it was found that Fawatih as-Suwar functions as a symbol of divine greatness, an opener for the communication of relevations, and has profound educational value. This study aims to explore these opening letters using a thematic approach, namely by examining the relationship between the opening latters and the main themes of the surah where the latters are located. This approach is expected to reveal new dimensions of miracles in the linguistic structure of the discourse of contemporary ullumul Qur’an.
