Studi Kritis Teori Sharfa: Kajian I'jaz Al-Qur'an

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the concept and background of the al-sharfa theory, the differences in views of scholars regarding the sharfah theory, and the implications of the sharfah theory in the study of the contemporary miracles of the Qur'an. This study is a library research study using qualitative methods by collecting related literature and then presenting it descriptively qualitatively, namely displaying data as it is and then analyzing it. The al-sharfah theory is a concept in the miracles of the Qur'an which states that the inability of humans to match the Qur'an because Allah SWT, revokes the ability, motivation, knowledge, and knowledge of humans to match the Qur'an. The results of this study reveal that the sharfa theory originates from Islamic thought caused by misunderstandings of the Qur'an accompanied by wrong beliefs. The figure who is considered to have first initiated the al-Sharfah theory is Abu Ishaq Ibrahim al-Nazzam. And in the current contemporary era, the implications of the al-Sharfa theory indicate that the sharfah theory in the study of the miracles of the Qur'an has triggered Qur'anic scholars to believe that the Qur'an is truly a miraculous book that will exist and be relevant in every era and place, and the Qur'an is a divine word that no human being is able to match or even create something similar to the Qur'an.
