Living Qur’an: Interaksi Umat Islam dengan Al-Qur’an

Abstract

The study of “Living Qur’an” plays an important role in revealing the fundamental meanings and values of various phenomena. The Living Qur’an approach, which originates from the presence of the Qur’an in daily life, demonstrates that the meaning and function of the Qur’an are always related to the real conditions in society. This article aims to broaden readers’ understanding of the interpretation and practice of the Qur’an in community life. The research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive-analytical library research. The study covers traditions, rituals, behaviors, cultures, and objects inspired by Qur’anic verses, such as ruqyah and Yasin recitations. Living Qur’an research also utilizes field methods, including observation, interviews, and documentation. This approach is essential to understand how Qur’anic values are applied in modern contexts and how society interprets the verses according to social circumstances. Through this study, religious understanding and practice can be strengthened, contributing to the development of a more Qur’anic civilization. The research also expands Qur’an studies by emphasizing contextual interpretation through social practice, reinforcing an interdisciplinary approach (sociology, anthropology, phenomenology), and building a new theoretical framework on society’s interaction with the Qur’an. This study can serve as a reference for educational institutions and help preserve Islamic traditions and cultural identity in society.
