Pengaruh Kinerja Guru dan Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam Siswa Kelas XI Agama di MAN I Jombang

Abstract
Student academic achievement is a key indicator of educational success, particularly in Islamic Cultural History (SKI), a subject that demands effective teaching strategies and the use of appropriate instructional media. This study aims to examine the influence of teacher performance and the utilization of instructional media on the academic achievement of Grade XI Religious Program students at MAN 1 Jombang. A quantitative approach with an associative research type was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both teacher performance and instructional media have a positive and significant effect, both simultaneously and partially, on students' academic achievement. Among the two, teacher performance has a more dominant influence. These findings highlight the importance of teacher quality in planning and delivering lessons, as well as the effective use of instructional media to enhance student learning outcomes. Practically, this study suggests the need for continuous professional development for teachers and the provision of engaging, relevant media to support learning. Theoretically, the study reinforces previous research on the critical role of teacher effectiveness and media utilization in improving student performance, especially in religious and cultural education contexts.
