Eksperimen Pengaruh Kelembapan dan Jarak Elektroda Terhadap Pentanahan: Kajian Fisika Listrik Menggunakan Hukum Ohm

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of soil moisture and the distance between electrodes on the value of grounding resistance, with a Physics theory approach using Ohm's Law. This study is driven by the importance of an effective grounding system in electrical installations to safely channel fault currents to the earth. The method used is a field experiment by measuring grounding resistance using the three-point method (fall-of-potential). Variations in soil moisture are made in a controlled manner through watering, while the distance between electrodes is varied from 1 meter to 5 meters. The findings of this study are soil resistance measurement data in dry soil conditions, which range from 85 - 182 Ω, while in wet soil it ranges from 12.2 - 90.3 Ω. The resistance obtained is very large and exceeds the standard for good soil resistance (PUIL 2011), which ranges from 0-5 Ω. So it can be concluded that the location where the grounding resistance is measured is not suitable for use as a grounding location. The highest resistance value obtained in this experiment was 107 Ω and the lowest value was 51.1 Ω.
